And Barry, 24, said: "In the summer I was linked with Newcastle. It is flattering because Newcastle are a big club and they've signed big, big names.
"To be linked with them is always flattering. Until you are told anything else, that's all it is.
"There have been stories about the same sort of thing recently but until the manager or chairman says something to me, I'm not thinking about it at all."
He said: "You have your days when you do think differently but in general I turn up for training wanting to be the best player in training, wanting to win the games in training and wanting to win the matches on Saturday afternoons.
"If you come into training thinking 'I've had enough of this' and thinking 'I don't want to keep coming in' then it's time to make a change and if that happens, I'll let the manager and the chairman know.
"Would a move benefit me? It's one of those. Until it happens, you don't know the answer. If I was to move and started to play the best football of my career, then it would be the right thing to do. Until that happens, I can't answer the question."
