Skadesituasjonen

(1/20) > >>

kvalvik:

Physioroom melder om følgende skader:
C Good: Hip/Thigh Injury - no return date

E Riviere: Knee Injury - no return date

F Coloccini: Calf/Shin Injury - Return date: 8th Aug 15

S Marveaux: Gilmores Groin - Return date: 14th Sep 15

R Cabella: Hip/Thigh Injury - Return date: 14th Sep 15

P Dummett: Hamstring Injury - No return date

--- Sitat ---They have both been sidelined since the start of pre-season, but Paul Dummett and Remy Cabella could soon be back in action according to assistant coach Paul Simpson.

Defender Dummett suffered a reoccurrence of a hamstring problem while on international duty with Wales in June, having helped United to secure their Barclays Premier League status last term.

French ace Cabella, meanwhile, has been suffering with a thigh injury but Simpson has provided an update on the pair's fitness.

Speaking to nufcTV, Simpson said: "Paul Dummett has been doing a bit of work and then he had a little bit of a setback, so we went and had him re-scanned.

"It came back clear so he's been back out (on Wednesday) doing the work. He's getting to a decent level, he's just feeling a little bit of discomfort, but we're hoping we can get over that very soon and get him involved in one of the under-21 games.

"He was pencilled in to be involved on Monday against Blackburn (kick-off 7pm at Whitley Park) but it now seems as though that's going to be too early so it may be the following week away at Brighton. We're just looking all the time with him.

"Remy Cabella has been out working; he's done five or six days out on the grass, doing football work, working with the rehab fellas. We're hoping that maybe by the end of this week or the beginning of next week, he may be able to join in with the rest of the group to start building him up."

Simpson also confirmed that Vurnon Anita, who was stretchered off in the second half against Southampton on Sunday, has trained this week.

"He's had a little bit of grief about that, because it's been a proper miraculous recovery - stretchered off on Sunday and fit to train on Wednesday," smiled the assistant coach.

"But it was a real concern at the time because he took a real heavy, awkward landing in his fall. I'm going to have to give credit to the medical team - they've laid their magic hands on him and he's made a really good recovery.

"He joined in training (on Wednesday), hopefully there'll be no reaction from that, and we'll have a clean bill of health going into the Swansea fixture."
